What to charge?

What would you charge an aspiring artist for their music video if they have little to no money to start with? I'm all for supporting the arts, but I need to pay my bills too. What would you do?

Commission on sales or views. They make the music, you make the video, it's pretty much half-and-half. Get the details spelled out in a contract. Not everything has to be a cash-up-front transaction.

I agree; commissions on any future royalties is a good idea. You can help them out if they are broke, but you need to get something in return.

While getting a share of their future royalties is a good idea, what if they never make any money? I am not sure I would want to work for free, to be honest.
