I was a photographer first before discovering that photo editing skills are equally necessary. It helps to first master the manual mode on your camera before finetuning your editing skills. What are your thoughts?
I'm still the most skilled at shooting landscape photography, but I enjoy creating short films too. I still need to work on my editing skills, so my hats off to you for mastering it.
I mastered the computer graphics part first, since that is the field I studied in college. I didn't get into other forms of art, like videography, until much later.
Getting the right angles was valuable to me, so I was focused on my photography skills more than on editing. Doing the latter seems to go naturally by experimenting that I didn't pay attention to it much.
