Tweaking the audio

What do you guys use to tweak the audio after the fact? I've been using GarageBand since I have a Mac, but it's actually pretty limited. What else should I try?

Try Audacity. It's free, it's highly customizable, and it's compatible with a Mac. I don't have any experience with using it on a Mac, but their community is incredibly helpful if you need it.

Have you looked at Apple's Logic Pro line? It might be simple to use since you're used to GarageBand. I found Audacity too complicated to use, but you might be able to master it in no time.

Some audio jobs are fairly simple, but for something complicated I think it's worth hiring a professional. It saves time and money in the long run. I usually just outsource it on one of the freelance sites.
