The Rolling Shutter Effect

This has always been a disadvantage with this technology. Straight helicopter blades that are moving, appearing curved in a photograph for example. Do you think this is a good reason to not use this tech.?

Most CMOS sensors and DSLR cameras suffer from the rolling shutter effect in varying degrees. It helps to master shooting techniques that reduce this effect, including using a tripod to prevent camera shake or shooting with a (much ) higher shutter speed (to force the camera in a fast sensor readout mode), and so on.
