Storyboards?

Have you found some handy software to help you plan out your story and keep track of the characters and places involved? I've been using a spreadsheet so far, and it's getting unwieldy.

I've used Storyboarder when I needed something fast, easy, and free. If you need something that goes deeper than the basics, then try the Plot. It offers more features for $10 or so a month.

I learned about Storybinder on BuzzFeed, because that's what they use, and I've been using it myself ever since. It works a treat and it's easy to use. It works great for collaborating too.

I usually jot notes down or type the outline in word office when writing a story or anything. It's simpler to me, and truth be told, using storyboards haven't crossed my mind. Although, I've seen something similar before.

I've never envisioned my fiction in movie form as of yet, so I just use Google Docs. It, Storyboarder, sounds like it might help as the stories get longer though.
