Mixing the sound and editing it to be just right is more difficult than it seems. Depending on the timing, the whole recording can be easily conformed to the film so that the audio and visuals match each other. The difficult part is when it doesn't so you'll have to manually arranged and stuff. Aside from that, when editing sounds you'll also have to know what kind of music will suit the recording and the whole mood of the scene. Even at the start of a movie, the sounds' role is important because it's the one giving a clue on how things will roll.
