I agree. If you're a skier, a skater, or someone who does a lot of physical activity and wants to capture it, then go for it. Otherwise, I honestly don't see the point.If you're into physical activities, buying a GoPro may be worth it since it can help capture the different angles of what you're doing. I think the camera would be suitable for exploration too.
A photographer can still purchase an item without needing to use it at the moment. I do this, especially with the accessories when there's some cash to spare.
