I'm looking to get an other-worldy feel to some photographs by wanting to edit out shadows cast by the main object. Does anyone know of a software program that can do this?
I have used Photoshop and Lightroom before, so it depends on your preference. Again, it depends on how they appear; content-aware tools like the Patch tool work well for the simple shadows.
If you want something that's free, try using Luna Pic. It's pretty easy to use and you won't even have to download anything. Photoshop is great, but if you don't need it often, it's not worth the money.
I find it hard to remove shadows perfectly. It's one of the techniques that I need to work on. I usually try to avoid them in the first place honestly.
