Car Stunts

Action movies easily leave their viewers in awe with the excitement made by the fighting and explosions. However, it intrigued me how much money and time it would cost to redo a scene that involves cars, and buildings in case actors and actresses fail to deliver a good performance.

I think that creating the final scene involves a lot of stunts and requires perfection. Directors and producers have to ensure that the final product contains no mistakes. I think that the initial budget should factor in the overhead costs.

It would be an unfortunate thing to repeat a scene that requires a lot of preparation. Depending on the degree of the stunts and scope of explosions, some scenes might just be cut and edited into the film.

I can't remember the term they use, but actors sometimes are not outside with the action as it happens. They shoot a car chase or such, and the actor is inside the studio doing his thing in accordance with the rest of the scene.
