What is the #1 marketing technique you tried that actually paid off handsomely? Advertising my services through targeted mobile apps was mine. What about you?

Offering future discounts for referrals has been my go-to method for pulling in new clients. That means more paid work from both the previous and the new client.

Taking advantage of social media is definitely one of the techniques that I'm grateful for doing. It doesn't cost much, yet it works efficiently with the number of users available.

I really like this idea! When I graduate college and start my own photography business, I think I'll offer this kind of referral discount. I think it's a good way to encourage people to spread the word about your services. :)

Word of mouth advertising and social media help me the most. You'd be amazed at how many people will allow you to post their images on your professional social media pages. It leads to tagging and sharing, and before you know it, everyone will want to book with you.

I have a pact with another industry professional. If he can't take the work, he sends the potential client to me and I do the same for him. The key is to choose someone who consistently produces excellent work because your name and reputation are on the line as well. If you recommend someone sloppy and unprofessional, you'll suffer too.
